ST. BENEDICT, Pa. (WJAC) — Families in Cambria County spent Saturday afternoon holding signs outside their home in St. Benedict along Theatre Dr. The signs had handwritten messages asking drivers to “Honk for nurses, peace, hope and humanity.” They thought of the idea from seeing similar videos on social media. With the help of their dad, they put their idea to the test on Saturday afternoon. They say dozens of cars drove by honking their horns to show support.
The families hope this small act of kindness shows appreciation for health care workers.
“We thank you so much. You’re doing such hard work and taking time out of your life from your families and everything and we greatly appreciate it and we send you all our love and support,” said Katelyn Rayba.
They say they hope to hold the signs up on another day to continue spreading messages of positivity and hope.
