Frances Hardman Conroy was born on November 13th , 1953 to two loving parentsMonroe , Georgia, USA. Her father’s name is Vincent Paul and she worked as a business manager while her mother’s name is Ossie Hardman and she also worked as a businesswoman. She holds American citizenship but shares some Irish ancestry from her father’s side as far as her ancestry is concerned.

For her education, Frances got the best of it as From 1971 to 1972, she attended Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She was a permanent member of the Mermaids Players while at school and was repeatedly cast in college theater productions. She eventually moved to New York, where she studied acting at the prestigious Julliard School and also at the Neighborhood Playhouse. She was part of Julliard’s drama department alongside other notable people such as Robin Williams, Kelsey Grammar, Harriet Sansom Harris and Kevin Conroy (unrelated). Undoubtedly, Frances Conroy had a very solid foundation on which to build her acting career.
