Frances Hardman Conroy was born on November 13th , 1953 to two loving parentsMonroe , Georgia, USA. Her father’s name is Vincent Paul and she worked as a business manager while her mother’s name is Ossie Hardman and she also worked as a businesswoman. She holds American citizenship but shares some Irish ancestry from her father’s side as far as her ancestry is concerned.
For her education, Frances got the best of it as From 1971 to 1972, she attended Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She was a permanent member of the Mermaids Players while at school and was repeatedly cast in college theater productions. She eventually moved to New York, where she studied acting at the prestigious Julliard School and also at the Neighborhood Playhouse. She was part of Julliard’s drama department alongside other notable people such as Robin Williams, Kelsey Grammar, Harriet Sansom Harris and Kevin Conroy (unrelated). Undoubtedly, Frances Conroy had a very solid foundation on which to build her acting career.

Other theater productions she has appeared in include Painting Churches, Zero Positive, Our City, Booth, The Rehearsal, The Theme Was Roses and so many others. Her last theatrical appearance was in 2010 when Frances Conroy appeared to be more focused on television.
Frances Conroy also seems to have conquered the film industry as she has acted in over 30 films in her career. Already in 1978 she played the role of Diana in the film All’s Well that Ends Well and only in 2018 she played the role of Ethel in the film Bergeruhe . Some other movies this award winning actress has been in include The Fairy Tale , Welcome to Happiness , Worth Blood , and Love Happens among others . She has also played countless speaking roles in various films.
Perhaps her most applauded acting moment is in HBO’s drama series Feet Under Six, which began in 2001 and ended in 2005. In this series, Frances played the role of family matriarch Ruth Fisher. This role brought her much recognition and acclaim. In 2004, she even received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series.
Another big jump in her already successful career was her appearance in a horror thriller series called American Horror Story . The show began in 2011 and was an anthology series with each season carrying new letters.
