WASHINGTON (TND) — Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., announced Thursday the House Oversight Committee has sent a subpoena for bank records of several members of the Biden family.
The representative noted on social media he expects to find evidence the Bidens engaged in deals with enemy nations. Such records could also lend validity to his claims the Bidens benefitted by peddling the influence of then-Vice President Joe Biden.
“We know the Biden family set up over 20 shell companies & raked in over $24 million from China, Russia, and other foreign adversaries,” Rep. Comer wrote. “Today's subpoena will help further expose the Biden family's influence peddling schemes, the intentionally complicated web of LLCs formed by the Bidens to enrich themselves, & the central role Joe Biden played in the business dealings. ???? ??????? ???'? ???.”
The move by the Bluegrass State Republican continues an aggressive push to discover wrongdoing by one of America’s most powerful families. Rep. Comer Thursday also blasted President Biden for asserting executive privilege over his interview with former special counsel Robert Hur.
“It’s a five-alarm fire at the White House,” he wrote via X. “Clearly President Biden and his advisors fear releasing the audio recordings of his interview because it will again reaffirm to the American people that President Biden’s mental state in in decline.”
The House Judiciary Committee on Thursday voted to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress for refusing to provide the subpoenaed tape of Hur's interview with Biden to the committee.
