Spring Mills man accused of repeatedly abusing young girl over period of 5+ years

Authorities in Centre County say a Spring Mills man is behind bars following an investigation into allegations that he repeatedly sexually abused a young girl over a five-year period.

According to the affidavit, police were first contacted in January of 2023, by the victim's mother, after the victim reportedly disclosed that she had been repeatedly abused by 35-year-old Vladimir Slavskiy.

Police say the victim told investigators that the alleged abuse began in 2017, when she was approximately 7 or 8 years old.

Authorities say the alleged abuse continued until the girl was approximately 13.

Upon further investigation, police say the victim disclosed multiple incidents of sexual assault at multiple locations in Centre County, as well as in Erie.

Police say the alleged abuse also occurred at various locations, both public and private, including bedrooms, parks and vehicles.

According to online court records, Slavskiy was arraigned Thursday on nearly two dozen counts of child rape, as well as one count of rape by forcible compulsion and two counts of aggravated indecent assault of a child.

He is being held at the Centre County Prison and his bail was denied.
