RelatedWe're so back.
When their late police captain gets linked to drug cartels, wisecracking Miami cops Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) embark on a dangerous mission to clear his name. Bad Boys: Ride or Die is a fun action film that captures the essence of Michael Bay's work in the early 2000s. Sometimes, the world needs a good popcorn flick, and this film delivers.
Matthew Donato said in his review: On that level, Adil & Bilall deliver the goods. They’ve perfected their Michael Bay impressions, injecting adrenalized energies à la Pain & Gain into Bad Boys gunplay. Cinematographer Robrecht Heyvaert captures the coolness overdrive of action sequences in neon-rave Meow Wolf-like art galleries or abandoned alligator theme parks.
Fourth installment of the 'Bad Boys' film series.

Related'Sweet Tooth's final season depicts Gus growing into a leader and ends on one of the series' best episodes.
Sweet Tooth is one of Netflix's more underrated titles. Based on the DC Comic of the same name, the series takes us on an epic adventure across a post-apocalyptic world where a lovable boy, part human and part deer, searches for family and home with a gruff protector.
Season 3 of Sweet Tooth is, by and large, a satisfying conclusion to the Emmy-winning series. Ross Bonaime explains in his review, saying: Sweet Tooth hasn’t necessarily been the smoothest ride, with the wonderful first season being followed by a clunkier-than-expected second, and with many of those issues still consistent in the final season as well. But taken as a whole and with a conclusion that pays off this story in a delightful way and a pitch-perfect performance by Convery, Sweet Tooth is the rare apocalyptic story full of hope and love.
A boy who is half human and half deer survives in a post-apocalyptic world with other hybrids.

RelatedAmandla Stenberg is the Disney+ series' pitch-perfect lead in a cast of standouts.
The Acolyte is the latest venture into the galaxy far, far away. This time, Lucasfilm and Disney+ are taking us back into the High Republic era of Star Wars, where we are introduced to new characters and a world unlike what we'd come to expect in the Skywalker Saga.
This new setting allows The Acolyte to stand on its own without needing the last 50 years of Star Wars stories, allowing for the series to become one of Star Wars' best in years. Maggie Lovitt explains: The Acolyte is undoubtedly one of the most exciting shows on Disney+ this year and one of the best Star Wars projects since 2022. Not only is it a visually engaging story, with stunning flora and fauna, but it is a beautifully-woven story that takes the very best aspects of the franchise and spins them into pure gold.
The Acolyte is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.

RelatedGlen Powell is having a ball in one of the most thoroughly entertaining films of Linklater's career.
Professional killer Gary Johnson (Glen Powell) breaks protocol to help a desperate woman (Adria Arjona) trying to flee an abusive husband and finds himself falling for her. Hit Man first premiered at TIFF last year and had the crowd buzzing with just how entertaining it was. Director Richard Linklater manages to make a film that's funny, sexy, and always entertaining.
Ross Bonaime praised the film, saying: He [Linklater] keeps the twists of the noir narrative fairly straightforward, leaving us to revel and admire in Powell’s comedic chops, the romantic entanglements, and the anticipation for when this relationship might go too far. Powell, Linklater, and the entire cast are having a ball with this concept, and it’s a joy to watch how it all plays out.
Inspired by an unbelievable true story, a strait-laced professor discovers his hidden talent as a fake hit man. He meets his match in a client who steals his heart and ignites a powder keg of deception, delight, and mixed-up identities.

RelatedWe may never get 'Los Espookys' back, but be plenty glad we now have this.
Julio Torres (Problemista) spins a fantastical six-part tale filled with color and surrealism of when he lost a gold oyster earring. This Max original might've flown under your radar, but it's a series you definitely want to add to your watchlist.
If you're a fan of Torres' previous work, Fantasmas is made for you; Chase Hutchinson explains: Not only is the series as funny as anything Torres has ever done, but it’s also his most incisive. He never skimps on silliness just as there is plenty that is more biting — everything from Dano popping up in what initially feels like a riff on Too Many Cooks before becoming something all its own to Alexa Demie perfectly embodying the nightmarish bureaucracy of insurance. It all operates as a funhouse mirror of reality but with the sense that Torres is grappling with his own place within.
Julio Torres - both the comedian/writer/filmmaker AND his fictional counterpart here - once lost a golden oyster earing on New Year's Eve. In his new series for Max, Julio searches for his lost item through a magically surreal New York City environment in a narrative packed with guest stars and dream-like scenarios.

1:33 RelatedYou’ve never seen the legendary kaiju quite like this. Long live the king.
The King of the Monsters shines in this Academy Award-winning film. If you had to choose one title to watch from this list, it should be Godzilla Minus One. The kaiju epic features some of the most emotional writing you'll ever see in the genre, with human characters that actually matter.
Godzilla Minus One comes to Netflix in the original Japanese, but also a surprisingly good English dub, making it accessible for anyone to get into. Here’s what Chase Hutchinson said in his review: When it all comes down to it and the door potentially left open for more, Godzilla Minus One more than carves out its place among the best entries of this long-running series. Whatever comes next for this refreshingly unique incarnation of the creature and his seemingly insatiable hunger for destruction, one can be glad this beautiful behemoth rose up once more.
Post war Japan is at its lowest point when a new crisis emerges in the form of a giant monster, baptized in the horrific power of the atomic bomb.
